Hello there!

CV

I'm Lauren and am a Level Designer, with over two and a half years of industry experience, currently at Awe Interactive.

 

I studied Gameplay and Production at Staffordshire University and was winner of their GradEx 2023 Level Design Category. 

I adore the endlessly creative potential that video games bring to the world and as a movie lover, have become fascinated by the cinematic potential of games, especially as the landscape moves forwards from pre-rendered cutscenes.

I love the initial excitement of coming up with new concepts and the challenge of pruning them to realistically work with player interaction and expectations.

Game and Level Design facilitates the endless satisfaction of my curiosities, due to the multitude of factors that can impact design decisions, from psychology to architecture, to culture etc.

But outside of work, I'm a big sci-fi fan, and general media consumer, who loves exploring the world. Also an advocate for picnicking no matter the weather!
